DISCLAIMER: We do our best to provide the public with accurate information on each animal in our care as we learn it, however, shelter and rescue environments are stressful for all animals and there is only so much we can learn while caring for many others with limited resources. This is why it is recommended to give puppies and dogs time to decompress after leaving a shelter environment, time to learn their new environment and schedule (Yes! They thrive with a predictable routine!), and time for their natural behaviors and personalities to emerge. Please take time to read this article.

Certifications

Age. I am at least 21 years of age.

Placement. I understand the Notorious D.O.G Dog Rescue's priority is to place each dog with the best match for the dog and the family, not by order of which applications are received.

Veterinary Reference. I understand a veterinary reference is required for each applicant who has or has had pets and providing inaccurate veterinary contact information may delay the processing of my application.

History. I understand that Notorious D.O.G. Dog Rescue has rescued animals whose complete history is not always known and who may be anxious, frightened, or unpredictable due to trauma and other changes in their circumstances. I will be made aware of all known health or behavioral issues, however, Notorious D.O.G. Dog Rescue makes no guarantee as to the physical or mental health of animals in their care and that the animal may have medical needs, behavioral or socialization problems, and may not be housebroken.

Processing Time. I understand Notorious D.O.G Dog Rescue is extremely short-staffed and it may take 3 to 5 business days to process my application.

Language. I understand contacting Notorious D.O.G Dog Rescue and using inappropriate or otherwise hostile language will result in immediate rejection of my application.

Meet and Greets. We understand everyone’s time is important to them and situations arise that are beyond our control. If you have an urgent or emergent situation that prevents you from attending a scheduled meet and greet, please contact us by email to let us know and we will reschedule your meet and greet. Otherwise, applicants who do not show to a scheduled meet and greet and do not notify NDR within 1 hour of your scheduled meet and greet your inability to attend will be disqualified from fostering and adopting through NDR.

Email Verification. I understand that if I do not receive a copy of this application by email, I have typed in my email address incorrectly. I will email Notorious D.O.G Dog Rescue directly at notoriousdogrescue@gmail.com with the correct email address to prevent a delay in processing my application.

Indemnification. I agree to indemnify and hold Notorious D.O.G. Dog Rescue harmless from any damages, loss, cost, or liability (including reasonable legal fees and the cost of enforcing this indemnity) arising out of or in any way resulting from the fostering process.
