  • Thank you for your interest in fostering one of our adoptable dogs.

    Our goal is to keep more dogs in loving homes, off the streets, and out of shelters through spay and neuter programs and responsible adoption practices. Your foster participation is the key ingredient in a recipe for success

    This application helps us learn about you, your household/family, and your lifestyle so we can make the best possible match for you and your foster dog. 

    Please answer each question honestly and completely. Your responses help us make informed placement decisions that are in the best interest of both you and the dog. 

    Your privacy is important to us. All information submitted through this application will be kept confidential and used solely by The Canine Condition Foundation for the purpose of evaluating your foster application. Your information will never be sold or shared outside of the adoption process without your permission unless required by law.

    Completing this application does not guarantee approval or obligate you to foster a dog but it helps us open up the conversation. The Canine Condition Foundation carefully reviews every application and reserves the right to approve or deny any application based on what we believe is in the best interest of each dog.

    If approved to foster a dog for (TCCF) The Canine Condition Foundation, you will be asked to accommodate adoption events and/or pick up and drop off with our other volunteers if you are not available to take your foster dog to the events or any veterinary appointments. Our goal is to keep all dogs well socialized and ready for adoption. 

    You will be asked to provide pictures and videos of your foster dog via text several times a week. We post the dogs on our social media pages weekly to keep them in the spotlight. This increases their chances for adoption. We have a weekly phone call with you and offer support plus all supplies needed every step of the foster journey.

  • * Our dogs are placed as indoor family companions. While supervised time outdoors is encouraged, our dogs are not to be fostered in homes where they will primarily live outside.

  • Routine veterinary care, proper nutrition, exercise, and lots of love are the foundation of a long, healthy life. Preventive care helps pets stay healthier and happier throughout every stage of life. We provide all supplies and veterinary needs for your foster dog.

  • We’d like to learn about your previous experiences with pets so we can better understand the commitment you’re prepared to make as a foster parent to a dog we are looking to adopt out to a permanent family.

  • Even the most careful pet owners can experience the unexpected. A registered microchip is one of the safest and most effective ways to help a lost pet find its way home. All of the dogs we have in foster are microchipped and are registered to The Canine Condition Foundation.

  • Thank you for taking the time to complete our dog foster application. We sincerely appreciate your interest in providing a loving, temporary home for one of our dogs. 

    If your application is selected to move forward, a member of The Canine Condition Foundation will contact you to schedule a phone interview. If your application is approved following the phone interview and your meet-and-greet with the dog, you will be asked to provide a copy of your government-issued photo ID. When you foster a dog for The Canine Condition Foundation we provide ALL of the dog's supplies and food plus any veterinary care the dog may need.
