    We require staff work a minimum of 8 nights in order to be paid. Staff who work for fewer nights can volunteer and receive SSL hours.

    NOTE: You may not be scheduled to work EVERY day that you select, but this will help us assign your hours.

  • AGREEMENT OF RELEASE AND INDEMNITY: On behalf of myself and any minor child for whom I sign, I hereby release and hold harmless Calleva and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors and other agents (each a “Released Party”) from all liabilities, injuries, damage, causes of action, complaints, suits, claims, obligations, costs, losses and all other legal responsibilities (collectively, “Claims”) suffered by me or such minor child and arising from participation in any activity of Calleva/Markoff's Haunted Forest unless such Claim is caused by the gross negligence, malice or willful misconduct of the Released Party against whom the Claim is brought. I specifically agree not to institute or cooperate with any Claim in violation of the foregoing sentence. I further agree to indemnify and defend Calleva/Markoff's Haunted Forest or any other Released Party against any Claim that may be brought against it by any person if such Claim is attributable to any of my or my minor child’s actions or failure to act, is such actions or failure to act constituted gross negligence, malice or willful misconduct on the party of my child or me. THE PARTICIPANT HAS READ THIS PAGE AND UNDERSTANDS AND VOLUNTARILY AGREES TO ITS TERMS, WHICH SHALL BE BINDING UPON THEM, THEIR HEIRS, ESTATE, EXECUTORS AND ADMINISTRATORS.


    If I am an adult Participant or the Parent of a minor Child I agree, for myself and on behalf of the minor student for whom I sign as follows: I understand and acknowledge that the description above the inherent risks of Calleva/Markoff's Haunted Forest activities is not complete and that other, including unknown or unanticipated, risks, inherent and otherwise, may result in property loss, injury, illness or death. I acknowledge that my participation in this Calleva/Markoff's
    Haunted Forest experience is purely voluntary, and I wish to participate in spite of and with knowledge of the inherent and other risks involved. I acknowledge and assume the inherent risks described above and all other inherent risks of my Calleva/Markoff's Haunted Forest activity. In addition, except for an injury or other loss which occurs on lands whose rules or regulations prohibit my doing so as a matter of law, I expressly assume ALL risks of my Calleva/Markoff's Haunted Forest activity, inherent or otherwise, and whether or not described above.

    I declare that (I am)/(the minor child for whom I am responsible is) in good physical health and believe that is able without reservations or limited conditions to physically withstand and cope with the indicated rigors of this activity.

    I acknowledge and agree that myself or my child is participating in a Calleva/Markoff's Haunted Forest activity. I fully understand and agree that there is the possibility of an accident or other physical injury and agree to assume the risk of such injury and further agree that Calleva Inc., shall have no responsibility or liability in the event that I or the minor child for whom I am responsible suffer(s) any injury or harm.

  • Waiver Supplement for Minors

  • Markoff’s Haunted Forest employs staff 18 years old and older inside our haunts.
    If underage staff still want to work, then they and their parents must be aware of
    the hazards and issues involved with employment. Working the haunt can be fun
    and exciting but it can also be a dangerous place and environment. While we take
    precautions in building the sets with safe areas, provide training and management,
    and try to properly place the staff; we cannot control the patrons that visit and how
    they react.

    Our security team tries to keep drunks, offensive, and/or aggressive patrons from entering the haunts, however we cannot guarantee that they will not enter, and they often do. If you choose to allow your child to work inside the haunts at Markoff’s Haunted Forest, you need to be aware that they can and will be subject to the following from patrons:

    1. Extreme profanity that is offensive and unsettling. This language can often be a horrible introduction to objectionable subject matter and not limited to simple curse words, but also include gruesome talk, racist remarks, sexually charged, homophobia, and other deprived forms of communication.

    2. Possible physical assault. In an effort to get “great” scares, staff have been getting closer and closer to patrons which has resulted in upsetting physical contact. Staff that are within reaching distance can and have been assaulted and hurt. This can include physical contact meant to hurt, scare, and intimidate. Contact could also be the result of unintentional reaction of being scared as well.

    3. Threats/Intimidation. Many possible physical/emotional tactics are used by patrons to “show” how powerful and formidable they are; and it takes individuals with maturity and thick skin to not get worn down when tired and hungry.

    By signing this, you are acknowledging the environment that you are allowing your child to work at Markoff’s Haunted Forest. While you understand that Markoff’s does it’s best with training, designing scares, building sets, and placement of staff; we cannot control the behaviors and actions of our patrons. This acknowledgment waives Markoff’s Haunted Forest and Calleva Inc. from the behavior of our patrons to your child/young adult while working the haunt.

    I am the legal guardian of {whatIs} and understand the risks with having my
    child work at Markoff’s Haunted Forest. I have had a chance to ask questions, and understand that although all risks have not been written, I recognize the diverse and varying degrees in which each circumstance can take place. I have talked to my child about each of these and voiced my concerns along with those of Markoff’s
    Haunted Forest with my child and accept these conditions in which they will be employed.
