The study concerns how perceptions of social media posts influence memory judgments in modernity among Gen Z.
⚪It explores:
-how framing of posts shapes & possibly distorts the accuracy& confidence of recalled information.
-Whether or not the nature of comments affects how memorable and credible the input appears.
-the impact of the Dark mode on cognition
-How the visual & textual details of media influence retrieval in Gen Z internet users.
►The Target population--> Ages 14-29
►First, demographic information will shortly be gathered. Then, you will be presented with an on-line post & hypothetical scenarios figuring its post-er, and asked to rate your agreement with statements. Overall it should last approx. 13-16 mins.
►The study involves minimal risk. However, slight participant discomfort may ensue by potentially addressing sensitive views, such as hate speech.
►Participation is voluntary. You may skip any questions you please, or withdraw at any time without reason.
►If you are distressed by anything throughout the survey, you might like to take a break, or if you prefer, exit it. The debrief page also contains information about accessible sources of support if there is anything about your life experiences you wish to talk about confidentially.
►All responses will be anonymized and deleted after data analysis.
►The results will only be used for academic aims.
