Competitive Team Streams
Velocity Complex now offers three competitive performance streams:
1) Acro Dance
2) Dance (Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop)
3) Aerial Arts (Silks, Hoop/Lyra)
Acro is Velocity's foundation. Every competitive athlete trains in Acro and Dance technique classes, regardless of which stream they choose. The training hours below are minimum weekly requirements. Any additional disciplines an athlete chooses will increase their weekly training hours.

Athletes in the competitive Aerial stream are required to take an Acro and Dance technique class to build strength, flexibility, movement quality and body awareness, but are not required to compete in Acro Dance. Choose from any of our specialty training classes. Previous aerial experience is required, and placement is determined through coach assessment.
Aerial athletes are full members of the Comp Team. They travel with us, attend our competitions and are part of every team event and bonding opportunity across the season.
We do not currently run group aerial routines, so aerial athletes compete a solo or duet. These carry separate choreography and Studio & Production fees. The same routine can also be submitted to IAAA online competitions, where there is no additional entry fee.
Aerial athletes are also welcome to add any of our Comp Team group routines — Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary or Hip Hop — if they would like to compete in a group alongside their teammates.
