EITI Civil Society Constituency Coordinator

Resource Justice Network (RJN), in collaboration with the EITI International Secretariat and the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), is looking to engage the services of civil society Ccoordinator for EITI engagement and undertake the tasks assigned in these Terms of Reference (ToRs).

The EITI is a global standard that promotes transparency and accountability in the oil, gas and mining sectors. Additional information is available at www.eiti.org.
Civil society is one of the three constituencies of the EITI, alongside governments and companies. Civil society representatives participate in the EITI Board, Board committees and national multi-stakeholder groups, and play an important role in ensuring that EITI implementation supports public debate, civic participation, accountability and responsible natural resource governance.

This role is an important opportunity to support effective civil society participation in a leading global transparency and accountability initiative. While carrying out the assignment, the individual will have the opportunity to work with civil society representatives, and collaborate with RJN, NRGI, the EITI International Secretariat and other stakeholders committed to strengthening transparency, accountability, civic participation and responsible natural resource governance. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the independence, credibility and effectiveness of civil society engagement in EITI at a critical time for extractive sector governance, civic space and the energy transition.
