Senior Ranch Hand Application

This is a full-time position with a very competitive compensation package. June calving herd.

Primary responsibilities:
- Assist our ranch manager in daily planning and direction of the team, lead production team members when necessary.
- Oversee herd health, including treating cattle, tracking vaccine inventory, and communicating areas of concern with the team and our veterinarian.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of ranch facilities, equipment, fencing, water systems, and headquarters.
- Cattle handling, including sorting, moving, and working cattle with UTV and on horseback.
- Cattle nutrition, including feeding in a feedlot setting during winter months and pasture management during summer months.
- Breeding, including implementing AI protocols and monitoring natural service sires.
- Other general ranch duties as assigned.
Qualified applicants will have:
- Previous experience leading a team in a cattle production setting.
- Livestock and animal health knowledge and experience.
- Proven leadership and employee management skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
