RSO's Orchestra Within an Orchestra
Expectations

1. Students have the opportunity to perform with a professional symphony orchestra.

2. The audition is open to instrumentalists in grades 9–12.

3. Students must reside in Wayne County.

4. Students should choose two contrasting selections of their choice from private lessons or band/orchestral material.

5. Students should prepare VIDEO recordings of their selected works. Total time of the recording of the two selections should be no longer than 5 minutes. The music does not have to be memorized.

6. Recordings will be uploaded in the application.

7. Students will be notified of the results by email no later than September 18.

8. Music will be provided to selected participants by September 21.

9. Students selected as members of the Orchestra Within an Orchestra are required to attend both rehearsals and both concerts.

Rehearsals at Civic Hall

Performance Dates

Sunday, October 11, 3:00 pm: Subscription Concert

Monday, October 12, 10:30 am: Education Concert
