    PLAYER, PARENT & COACH EXPECTATIONS AGREEMENT


    OUR COMMITMENT

    The Barracks Sports Academy is committed to providing a safe, positive, and respectful environment where athletes can develop their skills, confidence, character, and love for sports.

    Every athlete, parent, coach, and visitor shares the responsibility of maintaining an environment built on respect, effort, accountability, and sportsmanship.


    THE BARRACKS STANDARD

    Respect. Effort. Accountability.

    Those three words define The Barracks.

    We believe great athletes are developed through consistent effort, personal responsibility, and respect for others. Every member of The Barracks community is expected to uphold these values and contribute to a positive environment where athletes can learn, compete, and grow.


    ATHLETE EXPECTATIONS

    Athletes participating in The Barracks Sports Academy programs are expected to:

    • Arrive on time and ready to learn.

    • Respect coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, staff, and other participants.

    • Listen carefully and follow all coach and staff instructions.

    • Give their best effort and maintain a positive, coachable attitude.

    • Take responsibility for their actions and choices.

    • Care for Academy equipment and facilities.

    • Use appropriate language and behavior at all times.

    • Demonstrate good sportsmanship in both victory and defeat.


    PARENT & GUARDIAN EXPECTATIONS

    Parents and guardians are an important part of every athlete's development.

    Parents are expected to:

    • Treat coaches, staff, officials, athletes, and other families with courtesy and respect.

    • Allow coaches to coach without sideline instruction or interference.

    • Encourage effort, improvement, and sportsmanship over wins, statistics, or outcomes.

    • Address questions or concerns privately and respectfully with Barracks staff.

    • Ensure athletes arrive prepared and on time.

    • Follow all Barracks registration, scheduling, payment, cancellation, and facility policies.


    COACH EXPECTATIONS

    Coaches representing The Barracks Sports Academy will:

    • Treat every athlete fairly and with respect.

    • Provide a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.

    • Teach with professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

    • Encourage discipline, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

    • Lead by example both on and off the field.


    FACILITY POLICIES

    To maintain a safe and professional training environment:

    • Follow all Barracks staff instructions.

    • No horseplay, reckless behavior, or unsafe conduct.

    • Use equipment properly and return equipment after use.

    • Wear appropriate athletic footwear during training activities.

    • Food and beverages are permitted only in designated areas. Water is encouraged.

    • Report damaged or unsafe equipment immediately.


    TOBACCO, NICOTINE & SUBSTANCE-FREE ENVIRONMENT

    The Barracks Sports Academy is committed to maintaining a healthy, family-friendly environment.

    The use or possession of tobacco products, nicotine products (including vaping devices, electronic cigarettes, nicotine pouches, and smokeless tobacco), alcohol, marijuana, or illegal drugs is prohibited on Barracks property or during any Barracks-sponsored activity.

    Violations may result in removal from the premises, suspension, or dismissal from Barracks programs.


    ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY

    The following behaviors are not permitted and may result in immediate removal from an activity or dismissal from Barracks programs:

    • Physical violence or fighting.

    • Bullying, harassment, or discrimination.

    • Threats, intimidation, or aggressive behavior.

    • Theft or intentional damage to property.

    • Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate language.

    • Possession of weapons or illegal substances.

    • Repeated refusal to follow Barracks staff instructions.

    • Any behavior that creates an unsafe or disruptive environment.


    COMMUNICATION

    The Barracks Sports Academy values respectful communication between athletes, families, and staff.

    Questions or concerns should be addressed directly with Barracks staff in a calm and respectful manner. Whenever possible, concerns should be discussed privately after lessons, camps, clinics, or events.

    Our goal is always to work together to provide the best experience possible for every athlete.


    ACKNOWLEDGMENT & AGREEMENT

    By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the Player, Parent & Coach Expectations Agreement for The Barracks Sports Academy.

    I agree to uphold these standards and understand that failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, including removal from activities or dismissal from Barracks programs when appropriate.
