Troop 175 Registration for 2026/27

Complete registration requires this form, payment to the troop, and current BSA medical forms A&B. In addition, all scouts and one parent must have a current registration with BSA National. Many of our scouts have BSA National registrations which expire in December; if this is the case, you will need to wait until closer to the end of the year to renew.

Dues Summary

We don’t want financial considerations to keep your son from participating in Scouts. The Troop 175 Fallen Eagle fund will help Scouts with registration costs if their families are going through a rough time. Your son can also earn money for his Scout account by selling popcorn. If you’re considering leaving Scouts for financial reasons, or if you know someone who is not participating because of registration costs, etc., please contact Brent Young at cbyoung75@icloud.com. To use popcorn funds towards your registration fee, please contact the tresurer, Eric Carlsen, at eric.carlsen@gmail.com.

By checking the box below, I confirm that I am the parent/legal guardian of the participant, and I give full consent for them to participate in troop activities. I agree that the digital "Intent to Participate" form will be used to record my consent for my child to participate in individual Troop Outings. I understand that participation in Scouting activities involves the risk of personal injury, including death, due to the physical, mental, and emotional challenges in the activities offered. Information about those activities may be obtained from the venue, activity coordinators, or local council. I also understand that participation in these activities is entirely voluntary and requires participants to follow instructions and abide by all applicable rules and the standards of conduct. In case of an emergency involving my child, I understand that efforts will be made to contact me. In the event I cannot be reached, permission is hereby given to the medical provider to secure proper treatment, including hospitalization, anesthesia, surgery, or injections of medication for my child. Medical providers are authorized to disclose protected health information to the adult in charge and/ or any physician or health care provider involved in providing medical care to the participant. Protected Health Information/Confidential Health Information (PHI/CHI) under the Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information, 45 C.F.R. §§160.103, 164.501, etc. seq., as amended from time to time, includes examination findings, test results, and treatment provided for purposes of medical evaluation of the participant, follow-up and communication with the participant’s parents or guardian, and/or determination of the participant’s ability to continue in the program activities. With appreciation of the dangers and risks associated with programs and activities including preparations for and transportation to and from the activity, on my own behalf and/or on behalf of my child, I hereby fully and completely release and waive any and all claims for personal injury, death, or loss that may arise against the Boy Scouts of America, the local council, the activity coordinators, and all employees, volunteers, related parties, or other organizations associated with any program or activity.
NOTE: The Boy Scouts of America and local councils cannot continually monitor compliance of program participants or any limitations imposed upon them by parents or medical providers. List any restrictions imposed on a child participant in connection with programs or activities below and counsel your child to comply with those restrictions. If none, please write N/A.

In order to complete your scout's Troop registration, in addition to completing this form, you must:

IF the troop does not have an updated medical form (dated May 2026 or later), you will need to provide a hard copy of your scout's completed BSA Medical Form parts A and B to Julie Gutman (404-803-4833). The form can be located at https://tinyurl.com/BSAMedInfo. An email was sent to everyone with a form on file to let you know if a new form is required.
3. In addition to registration with the Troop, you must ensure both your and your scout's annual registration with BSA National is current and pay the National BSA annual dues at my.scouting.org.

Please review whether your Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT) is current, and if not, please update. Parents are required to have current SYT training in order to participate in activities/ drive scouts. Your SYT expiration date can be found under your name at https://my.scouting.org/home
Please note, we have three requirements for parents in our Troop: (1) An adult from each family will contribute a minimum of 10 hours per year to support Troop activities. (2) Each family must drive on 1 trip per year. (3) An adult from each family will join the troop as an adult member.
