Our Grooming Philosophy & Client Expectations: At Best Buddies, we believe grooming should be a calm, positive, and loving experience for every dog. Our salon operates differently from traditional grooming facilities, and we take pride in our personalized, cage-free approach. Before submitting your appointment request, please carefully review each statement below to acknowledge your understanding of our philosophy and policies.
Our Salon is designed to be a peaceful, cage-free and low stress environment. To maintain this environment, all clients must be available to pick up their dog within 20 minutes of receiving our "ALL SET" text notification.
Each dog has a unique personality, temperament, and comfort level. We allow time for each dog to acclimate to their surroundings before grooming begins and provide breaks when necessary. Therefore your dog's comfort determines the pace of their appointment. Some appointments may take longer than others, some may take less and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Best Buddies operates exclusively by appointment, with each groomer providing dedicated, one-on-one attention to one dog at a time. We do not overbook, squeeze in appointments or rush through the grooming process. Our priority is quality, safety, and your dog's well-being. Never speed or volume.
Realistic Grooming Expectations: Our groomers are highly skilled, experienced professionals who take pride in their work. However, dogs naturally move, wiggle and react during the grooming process. Our philosophy is to use gentle handling and minimize restraint whenever safely possible. While we strive for beautiful results, your dog's comfort and safety will always take precedence over achieving a perfectly precise haircut. We kindly ask that clients have realistic expectations and understand that a dog's cooperation and tolerance can influence the final result.
Our Most Important Promise: Above all else, we promise to treat your dog with kindness, patience, compassion and love throughout their grooming experience. Your dog's emotional and physical well-being will always be our number one priority. We ask that this be your number one priority as well.
We understand that our unique approach to grooming may not be the perfect fit for every pet owner, and that's absolutely okay!

We are not a traditional, high volume grooming salon. We have intentionally created an environment for families who value gentle handling, individualized attention, and their dogs overall well-being above all else. I also understand that in cases such as these, the best option may be to shave or shorten you dog's coat. Mats that are close to your dog's skin are very painful. Keep in mind that fur will grow back and we can discuss a maintenance program that will work for you and your Best Buddy.
