The THSO welcomes teachers, administrators, and homeschool parents to register to attend our free education concerts on Thursday, April 15, 2027 at 9:30am ET, 11am ET, or 1pm ET, in Tilson Auditorium on the campus of Indiana State University.
4th grade students within the Vigo County School Corporation are already scheduled to attend the concert scheduled at 9:30am ET.
This program serves over 3,000 students each Spring. Each concert is 50-55 minutes and is aimed toward elementary-aged students regardless of background or prior musical experience.
We ask Illinois schools to consider registering for the 1pm ET (12pm CT) concert to accommodate space for Indiana schools in our 11am concert due to end-of-day dismissal times.
Below are recommended arrival times to ensure there is ample time for parking, walking to the venue, and seating.
- 9:30am ET - arrive by 8:30am ET (limited space available)
- 11am ET - arrive by 10am ET
- 1pm ET (12pm CT) - arrive by 12pm ET (11am CT)
Students will enjoy a wide variety of music, from the great classical masters to the thrilling film scores of John Williams. They’ll have the opportunity to sing, clap, and participate in various activities throughout the concert, making this not only an educational experience, but also an entertaining and memorable one.
Additional education resources are available on our website at www.thso.org/adventure-concerts to supplement the concert, including lyrics for a Patriotic Sing-a-long in which students will participate with the orchestra.
*Upon filling out this form, you receive an email from Jotform confirming your submission. We will be in touch later in the fall with further information and other activities, so stay tuned!*
