Every year, the Board of Directors approves a budget to provide funds to members who want to host events for the community. This is a wonderful part of our HOA, and offers great opportunities for members to come together and get to know one another. The following form has been created to both satisfy the fiduciary responsibility of the Board to appropriately spend member dues, as well as to help keep track of events that occur year after year. Some favorite annual events hosted by members include the Egg Hunt and Petting Zoo in the spring, the Kids Fishing Derby each June, and Oktoberfest in the fall. We can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Things to note:
- Association funds may only go to events where participation is available to the ENTIRE membership. (Minimum age requirement for events with alcohol present is allowed)
- Neither the Board nor the Events Committee is responsible for the planning, execution, or cleanup of any event unless agreed upon in advance.
- Clean up of common areas used for events, including the portering of garbage to the dumpster at the beach, is the responsibility of the hosting member.
- All approved budgets are a "not-to-exceed" amount; anything spent over the approved budget will be the responsibility of the hosting member.
