5. AGREEMENT & LIABILITY ACKNOWLEDGMENT
1. Ownership: All foster animals remain the sole property of The Cat Advocates.
2. Care: I agree to provide food, water, litter, and safe housing; I will notify the
rescue immediately of illness or injury.
3. Risk/Liability: I understand animals are unpredictable and may cause injury. I
hold The Cat Advocates harmless from any claims or liability.
4. Return: I will return the animal promptly upon request.
6. WAIVER & SIGNATURES:
By signing below or checking the agreement box, I, the Foster Parent, acknowledge and
agree to the following terms regarding fostering animals for The Cat Advocates:
1. Assumption of Personal and Household Risk: I understand that housing a rescue animal
carries significant risks to myself, my family members, my guests, my personal pets, and
my property. I acknowledge that rescue animals may be behaviorally traumatized, sick,
untrained, and unpredictable. I freely and voluntarily assume all risks associated with
bringing this animal into my home, including but not limited to: animal bites to humans or
other pets, transmission of diseases, destruction of furniture or property, and escape.
2. Release and Indemnification: I hereby release and hold harmless The Cat Advocates, its
directors, officers, and agents from any and all financial or legal liability for damages,
injuries, or illnesses caused by a foster animal to myself, my family, my pets, or any third
party. Furthermore, I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Cat Advocates
against any claims, lawsuits, or financial damages brought by third parties (such as
neighbors or guests) who are injured or suffer property damage due to the foster animal
while it is in my custody.
