Wine Victoria with the support of Global Victoria, is inviting Expressions of Interest from Victorian wineries interested in participating in a new collaboration with Wine Gallery, one of China’s leading wine retailers on RED Note, also known as Xiaohongshu.
The campaign will promote selected Victorian wines through Wine Gallery’s established RED Note community, helping wineries increase brand visibility, connect with Chinese consumers and generate sales.
The program may include:
- Product listings through Wine Gallery’s online retail store
- RED Note content featuring participating brands and wines
- Brand storytelling and wine educationLivestream tastings and sales sessions
- Direct sales through Wine Gallery’s retail channels
Eligibility
Wineries must have:
- Wines with a recommended retail price between RMB100 and RMB800
- Products already imported and available for sale in China
- GACC registration completed, where applicable
- Local stock available in China for customer order fulfilment
- All participating wineries and individual wines will be selected by the Wine Gallery buying team.
Program Costs and Producer Responsibilities
The program is fully funded by Wine Victoria, with no participation or onboarding fees.
Selected producers will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders from their existing warehouse in China.
Wine Samples
Following the initial EOI review, shortlisted producers may be asked to provide:
- Stage 1 – Wine Assessment
One bottle per shortlisted wine for evaluation by the Wine Gallery buying team.
- Stage 2 – Campaign Preparation
Three bottles per selected wine for photography, content creation, livestream demonstrations and tastings.
Samples will not be returned.
Retail Pricing and Settlement
Wine Gallery will generally maintain each wine’s existing recommended retail price in China. Producers may also offer promotional or limited-time pricing for livestream campaigns, with the final price agreed before the campaign goes live.
Producer settlement will be calculated as:
Agreed sale price less 13% China tax and a 2% platform surcharge.
For example, a wine sold for RMB180 would provide a net producer settlement of RMB153.
