  • Documents Required for Application Submission:

    • Driver's license for applicant and all business owners
    • Special Transitory Food Unit (STFU) License or Proof of Food Service License
    • Applicable County Health Permit (See Policy #4)
    • Event-specific menu, detailed with pricing
    • High-resolution logo in a JPEG or PNG file format (optional)

    Documents Required Prior to Event Approval:

    • Documentation of approval of local Fire Department Inspection Program (See Policy #3)
    • Certificate of General Liability Insurance with a minimum limit of liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and aggregate
      • General Liability Certificate shall include an endorsement stating "Northville Township, the City of Northville, and Northville Parks and Recreation Commission, their boards, officers, officials, employees, agents, and volunteers", collectively, "the Department," shall be listed as additional insured. It is understood and agreed by naming the Department as additional insured, coverage afforded is considered to be primary to any policy carried by the Department.

  • I hereby authorize the Charter Township of Northville to conduct, by an individual, a conviction-only background history search and a sex offender registry search. I hereby consent to this search being conducted and to the disclosure of the results of that search by the individual to the Charter Township of Northville. I further hereby release the individual conducting the search, and the Charter Township of Northville, from any and all liability, claims and damages, including but not limited to, claims for releasing or using any information revealed as part of this search. I also understand and acknowledge that false information provided be me on a criminal convictions will result in disqualification from contractual obligations with the Charter Township of Northville or in dismissal from work if a contractual offer has been made and accepted. The Charter Township of Northville reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time.

  • ADDITIONAL PARKS & RECREATION FOOD TRUCK VENDOR POLICIES

  • 1. This application form is not an approved vending permit. The request will be reviewed by the Parks & Recreation Department.
  • 2. Final approval contingent upon successful criminal background check and/or driver's license check, and submission of insurance certificate naming "Northville Township, the City of Northville, and Northville Parks and Recreation Commission, their boards, officers, officials, employees, agents, and volunteers" as additional insured and proof of additional insured endorsement.

  • 3. Approval is required from the Western Wayne Mobile Food Vendor Consortium (Wayne County events only) or the Western Oakland County Mutual Aid Association Annual Food Truck Inspection Program (Oakland County events only). An inspection can be completed by the Northville Township Fire Department at any time. If the vendor is unable to satisfy this requirement prior to the event, an inspection will be completed on site. Vendors found in violation will be subject to removal from the event.

  • 4. If the County of Origin is not the County in which the event takes place, the applicant must complete and submit a Notice of Intent Application to the Health Department.

    • Wayne County events: Submit to the Wayne County Department of Environmental Health at least ten (10) days prior to operations.
    • Oakland County events: Submit to the Oakland County Department of Environmental Health at least four (4) days prior to operations.
  • 5. Food trucks are limited to event-specific space capacities and are subject to cancellation pending approved documentation prior to the event.
  • 6. Food/beverage vendors are responsible for any and all fees related to obtaining the applicable County food license. Reimbursements are not available for additional license or application fees.
  • 7. All food/beverage vendors must have the applicable County Health Department approval and must post a valid food handler's license at their site.
  • 8. A copy of the menu must be provided to the Parks & Recreation Department prior to the event.
  • 9. All vendors are only authorized to park-approved designated areas. Any deviation from the authorized areas may result in moving from the set up location or will be subject to removal.
  • 10. Food/beverage vendor participants and visitors are encouraged to arrive to set up their area one hour before the event.
  • 11. Immediate areas around food trucks must be kept clean and free from litter.
  • 12. The operator of the food truck shall be responsible to clean the food truck area(s) after use in order to restore the area to its condition prior to such use. No Food truck shall leave the park area without first picking up and removing all trash from his/her sales. Parks & Recreation staff shall empty all garbage receptacles.
  • 13. All agreed-upon fees or split sales* must be submitted to Northville Parks & Recreation at the end of the event to the Program Coordinator. A receipt will be issued when payment is processed. Certified bank check/money order/credit card made payable to:

    *If event sales did not reach $100, the Program Coordinator may waive vendor payment.

  • 14. Restrooms in proximity to the approved designated food truck areas may be limited.
  • 15. Any facility may be closed due to inclement weather and due to capacity at the Department's sole discretion.
  • 16. Please attempt to place necessary generators in a manner that do not cause a noise disturbance or make it difficult for customers to place orders.
  • 17. No music is to be played at a high decibel level from the food trucks.
  • 18. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted by the Parks & Recreation Department.
  • 19. Food/beverage vendors are required to comply with all applicable County Health Department rules and regulations for Temporary Food License Facilities.
