Discover how weather played a pivotal role in America’s fight for independence. This fascinating program explores how George Washington’s understanding of winter weather helped save the Revolution during the daring crossings of the Delaware River and the victories at Trenton and Princeton. Drawing on historical accounts and modern meteorological analysis, learn how freezing temperatures, wind, sleet, and strategic planning combined to change the course of history. An engaging look at the powerful connection between weather, leadership, and the birth of a nation.

Nationally known meteorologist (and Centre Furnace Mansion Docent) Elliot Abrams retired from AccuWeather in 2019 after a 51-year career as its Chief Forecaster and Senior Vice President.
