Instructor: Michelle Emanuel OTR/L CBS IBCLC NBCR CST RYT200
Michelle has been a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for 30 years specializing with newborn to precrawling infants. She is a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, National Board Certified Reflexologist, Registered Yoga Instructor, Manual therapist and lifelong learner. While working at the current #1 children's hospital, she was the first therapist to recognize torticollis as a symptom of oral dysfunction/restrictions and midline dysfunction. Michelle developed a theory of torticollis, how to assess and treat for full resolution and how to understand it in the context of oral function, sensorimotor experiences and whole body postural integration.
What if torticollis is only part of the story?
Discover the powerful connections between tethered oral tissues, neuromuscular imbalances, gastrointestinal dysfunction, airway challenges, and torticollis through a comprehensive, whole body functional perspective. This course challenges conventional thinking and equips you with a deeper understanding of the underlying relationships that influence postural development.
Whether you're new to these concepts or looking to expand your clinical expertise, you'll leave with a fresh, integrative approach to assessing and treating postural asymmetries while supporting optimal neurodevelopment in precrawling infants.
The Red Pill approach reveals clinical associations and patterns that are rarely explored, empowering you to see beyond isolated symptoms and recognize the body as an interconnected system.
Designed as a 6 week mentored, interactive learning experience, this program gives you the opportunity to learn, reflect, and immediately apply new concepts in your practice. The time between sessions allows you to implement techniques, observe outcomes, and return each week ready to deepen your understanding through discussion, collaboration, and case-based learning.
This comprehensive program includes:
6 live, virtual weekly classes on Monday evenings from 7-9 pm EST beginning 11/2/26 and ending 12/7/26
Practical homework and clinical application between sessions
A collaborative learning community
Innovative concepts and treatment strategies you can begin using right away
If you're ready to transform the way you evaluate and treat torticollis, this course will give you the knowledge, confidence, and clinical framework to create lasting change for the infants and families you serve.
