  • About In Our Names Network Art Installations

    We are creating a series of multi-sensory art experiences to confront the escalating realities of state and police violence in the context of the drug war. We highlight the experiences of Black girls, women, and trans folks through exhibitions that serve as both memorial and sites of active resistance. By sharing the art and stories of local survivors of police violence and Black artists we connect and amplify local power.

  • Dreaming New Worlds - We are inviting Atlanta to experience a three dimensional installation where Black women, girls, trans, and gender nonconforming people are safe, supported, and free to make their own choices. This exhibit will feature the a corner store, health center, home, and even an art museum to show what it would look like to walk around in a world free from drug criminalization and police violence.

    Invasion of Privacy - We're sharing the scariest things about criminalization and surveillance. This exhibit offers an up close and personal art experience of how the state tracks and monitors our freedom.
