    This NFLRC professional learning opportunity, designed specifically for online Korean language teachers, will focus on three key areas of teaching Korean online*:

    • Learner Interaction (Tuesday, August 18)
    • Resources for Online Korean Teaching (Thursday, August 20)
    • Course Design & Assessment (Tuesday, August 25)

    *  Key areas were identified by the NFLRC through a survey distributed to online Korean language teachers throughout the United States.

    FORMAT

    Three interactive live sessions followed by related asynchronous tasks (e.g., sharing of resources, posts related to the day’s topic, etc.), which are to be completed after each live session.

    PRODUCTS

    Successful completion of this series (attendance in all 3 live Zoom panel sessions and completion of all asynchronous tasks by September 30) will be certified with a certificate conferred by the National Foreign Language Resource Center (University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa). Please see Certificate Criteria section on our Korean OLP webpage. Certificate earners may be eligible to earn a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) towards maintaining their professional qualifications.

    Certificates are not available to those who are not able to attend the 3 live panel sessions. Session recordings and resources will be made available after the event as open educational resources (OERs).
