NEXT 2026 Nomination Form for HSC Visual Arts Teachers
Instructions for Nominating Student Artworks

To nominate a student’s artwork for the NEXT exhibition, please:
- Complete one online nomination form per student.
- Provide artwork details and documentation for each nominated artwork.
- Complete all fields in the nomination form. Incomplete submissions cannot be accepted.
Eligibility
- Entries are open to schools in the Liverpool LGA only.
- Teachers may nominate multiple students from the same HSC Visual Arts class.
- Nominated artworks must be suitable for safe display in a public gallery.
- If selected, artworks must be supplied with an appropriate hanging or display system by the specified delivery date.
- Every school that submits a nomination will be represented in the exhibition, with at least one student’s work selected for inclusion.
- A confirmation email will be sent for each completed nomination.

Selection Process

The Curatorial and Collections team at Liverpool Powerhouse will review all teacher nominations and make the final selection of works for the exhibition.

While we aim to showcase full bodies of work, gallery space is limited and may affect the number of works selected from each student’s submission.

Important Dates

Nominations Open: Tuesday 4 August 2026, 10am
Nominations Close:  Tuesday 24 November 2026, 4pm
Schools notified of successful student entries:  Tuesday 9 February 2027
Exhibition dates:  Sat 8 May – Sun 8 August 2027 (Liverpool Powerhouse)

If you are nominating a student's entire body of work, please fill out a new row for each individual artwork.

Artwork Documentation
For each nominated artwork, please upload:
- Between one and three JPEG images; or
- One MP4 file, where the nominated artwork is a video work.
Please label each JPEG image file using the following format:

First initial_Surname_Artwork title_Medium_Dimensions_Year

eg. E_Hewitt_Artwork Title_Acrylic on canvas_50 x 80 cm_2026

When uploading more than one image of the same artwork, add a number from 1 to 3 after the year.

Please label each MP4 video file using the following format:

First initial_Surname_Artwork title_Medium_Duration_Year

eg. E_Hewitt_Artwork Title_Video_5 mins 30 seconds_2026

If a video file is too large to upload through this form, please email exhibitions@liverpoolpowerhouse.com.au to arrange an alternative submission method.
Upload Artwork Documentation (Upload between one and three JPEG images for each nominated body of work, or one MP4 file for a video work).
