What do I need for a title bond?
- Proof of ownership (e.g., bill of sale, title filled out incorrectly)
- Serial number for mobile home
- Explanation for why the title is missing or unavailable
- Government-issued photo ID
- Any supporting documents (e.g, lien release if there is one)
- Payment for required bond and fees
Title bonds are based on the value of the mobile home. This is deteremined by the FMV (Fair Market Value) that is found on a paid tax receipt for your local tag office.
Once the bond is complete, you will need an inspection done by your local police department. They will come out and ensure the serial number on the bond matches the serial number on the mobile home.
After this, you will take the entire packet to your local tag office and they will send off your paperwork. You will recieve your title will in the mail in roughly a month if the state does not require any other information.
