HOW TO NOMINATE
Choose the category that best reflects the nominee’s strongest contribution. Tell us who they are and how their work connects to Wales. Provide clear examples of contribution, impact, innovation, testimony and challenges overcome. Review the nomination, confirm the declarations and submit before the deadline. You may save your progress and return later. A strong nomination uses specific examples and evidence; it does not need to be written by a professional. Judging and integrity Eligible nominations are shared with the relevant judging panel unedited and unabridged. Judges assess the evidence against five common areas: contribution, impact, innovation, testimony and overcoming challenges. Judges must declare conflicts of interest and step back where appropriate. Category results are subject to final verification and ratification under the Mastering Diversity Awards governance process. The number and level of awards made in each category may reflect the strength of the eligible nominations received.
NOMINATION GUIDANCE
Please provide clear, specific evidence showing why the nominee deserves recognition in the category selected. Explain the challenge, inequality or barrier they addressed; what the nominee personally did; who benefited; and what changed as a result. Strong nominations should demonstrate contribution, measurable or observable impact, inclusive practice, innovation, testimony from others and any significant challenges the nominee has overcome. Where possible, include figures, outcomes, examples, feedback, links or other supporting evidence. Avoid relying only on general praise or describing the nominee’s job title and responsibilities—we need to understand what makes their contribution distinctive. You may nominate yourself, your team or your organisation. Eligible nominations will be shared with the relevant judging panel unedited and unabridged, so please review your answers carefully before submitting.
