  • The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy, a national sorority initiative, is a free program for young ladies in grades 6- 8 to enrich and enhance the education that our young students receive in schools across the nation. Specifically, we augment thier scholarship in math, sicence, and technology. A primary goal of the program is to encourge the young ladies to pursue higher education and prepare the young ladies for full participation as leaders in the 21st Century. The students are not only engaged in FSA preparation and hands on science experiments, but they are also involved in technology, book studies, self estem sessions, cultural field trips, college tours, and many other exciting activities. Delta Academy Program’s major emphasis is social/emotional development, physiological transitioning and exposure to global ideas and learning opportunities.

  • Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta G.E.M.S. (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) Institute is an extension of the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy program. The institute is so named in honor of Dr. Noble’s lifelong commitment to academic achievement and excellence. Delta G.E.M.S is a nationally recoginzed education development program with the goal of helping young ladies between the ages of 14-18 and/or grades 9-12 discover thier brillance. The program also focuses on developing compassionate, caring, and community-minded young women with an academic emphasis placed on planning for high school years and beyond, promoting high levels of personal success, proper goal setting, and rendering community service through volunteerism.

  • The EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) Program is a youth initiative is designed to uplift African American males by addressing issues facing African American males, in grades 6 - 12. The topics related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, culture, self efficacy, leadership, physical and mental health, healthy lifestyle choices, character, ethics, relationships, college readiness, fiscal management, civic engagement, and service learning are addressed through dialogue groups, presentations, community forums, structured activities, and mentorships. In addition the young men will attend cultural programs and participate in community service activities.
