Eligibility:
The Heat & Health Innovation Challenge (HHIC 1.0) is designed to identify and accelerate validated, deployable innovations addressing heat and climate-health challenges.
Eligible Applicants:
- Startups
- MSMEs
- Social Enterprises
- Corporate Innovation Teams
- NGOs / Non-profit Organisations with validated solutions
- Universities / Research Institutions (only for technologies at TRL 5 or above with a validated prototype or commercialisation pathway)
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- The innovation addresses one or more heat and health-related challenges.
- The innovation has achieved a min Technology Readiness Level(TRL) of 5.
- A validated prototype or pilot-ready solution is available.
- The applicant owns or has the necessary rights to submit the innovation.
- Solutions at pilot, commercial or scaling stages are eligible.
Not Eligible:
- Concept-stage ideas
- Student projects
- Individual innovators
- Academic research without a validated prototype
- Innovations below TRL 5

Recommended Structure:
- Problem Statement – What heat & health challenge are you addressing?
- Solution – Overview of your innovation and value proposition.
- Technology – How it works and what makes it unique.
- Market Opportunity – Target users/customers and market potential.
- Business Model – Revenue model and go-to-market approach.
- Traction – Pilots, customers, partnerships, revenue, funding, or key milestones.
- Impact – Expected climate, health, and social outcomes.
- Team – Founding team and core expertise.
- Roadmap – Key milestones for the next 12–24 months.
- Support Required – How participation in HHIC 1.0 will help accelerate your innovation.
