    Sunday, November 15, 2026
    Sunday, December 13, 2026

All markets are held from 10AM–2PM.

The Sarasota Indie Market & Plant Swap is a curated outdoor market featuring independent makers, artists, plant businesses, vintage sellers, and other creative small businesses.

What began as a little plant swap in 2023 has grown into a bustling community event with thousands of plants and cuttings exchanged, dozens of independent vendors, and hundreds of visitors at each market. Our April 2026 event welcomed more than 750 attendees.

This application is open to both new and returning vendors.

Because space is limited and we receive far more applications than we can accommodate, submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Vendors are selected individually for each event based on product quality, originality, professionalism, booth presentation, category balance and overall fit for the market.

Returning vendors are encouraged to apply, but previous participation does not guarantee placement at every event. We intentionally rotate some spaces so we can support more local businesses and keep each market fresh.

  • Vendor Fee & Important Information

  • The vendor fee is $65 per accepted market date.

Each accepted vendor receives one approximately 10-by-10-foot outdoor space. Vendors must provide their own tent, proper tent weights (40lbs minimum per leg is required,) tables, chairs, displays, and supplies.

Vendor fees are non-refundable and due after acceptance. Your space is not confirmed until payment is received.

This market is intended for active independent small businesses rather than occasional hobby sellers. Applicants must be operating in compliance with any registrations, tax requirements, licenses, and permits applicable to their business and products.

We primarily feature handmade and independently designed goods, plants and plant-related products, original art, vintage and thoughtfully curated goods, and unique products from independent brands.

Multi-level marketing businesses, direct-sales representatives, and vendors primarily selling mass-produced marketplace merchandise will not be accepted.

  • Vendor Agreement

  • Please Read Before Submitting

By submitting this application, I understand and agree to the following if selected as a vendor for the Sarasota Indie Market & Plant Swap.

    Curated Market and Vendor Rotation

This is a curated market with limited space. Application does not guarantee acceptance.

Vendors are selected separately for each event based on product quality, originality, professionalism, booth presentation, category balance, and overall fit. Previous participation does not guarantee future placement or acceptance for every requested date.

Some applicants who are not initially selected may be placed on a waitlist. There is no separate waitlist application.

    Vendor Fee and Payment

The vendor fee is $65 per accepted market date and is non-refundable.

Accepted vendors will receive an invoice or payment instructions by email. Your space is not confirmed until payment is received by the stated deadline.

Failure to pay by the deadline may result in the space being offered to another applicant.

    Cancellation Policy

Vendor fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you are unable to attend, please notify Salt Your Soul Gift Co. as soon as possible. Vendors may not sell, give, or transfer their space to another business.

Repeated cancellations, late cancellations, or failure to appear may affect acceptance for future events.

    Rain or Shine

This is an outdoor event and will proceed in light rain or typical Florida weather.

The market may be delayed, modified, rescheduled, or canceled if severe weather or unsafe conditions — including lightning, dangerous wind, flooding, or tropical weather — make the event unsafe.

Vendor fees are non-refundable for weather-related changes or cancellations.

    Booth Space and Equipment

Each vendor will receive one approximately 10-by-10-foot outdoor space.

Vendors must provide their own tent, proper tent weights (40lb minimum per leg,) tables, chairs, displays, payment equipment, and supplies. Tent stakes may not be used in the parking lot.

    There is no electricity available.

All merchandise, tables, racks, signage, and displays must remain within the assigned booth space unless prior approval is given.

    Arrival and Setup

Vendor setup begins at 7:30AM unless otherwise stated in the event instructions.

Vendors must arrive during their assigned setup window and be fully ready for shoppers by 9:45AM. Early shoppers are common.

Late arrival may result in booth reassignment or loss of vehicle access to the market area.

Vendors are expected to remain set up until the market ends at 2PM unless weather, illness, or an emergency requires otherwise.

    Booth Placement

Booth locations are assigned based on the overall event layout, business category, accessibility, safety, and traffic flow.

Specific locations and requests to be near another vendor are not guaranteed. Booth assignments may change before or during setup if necessary.

    Products Sold

Vendors may sell only the products and product categories described in their application unless additional items are approved in advance.

    Food and Consumable Products

The market is accepting a very limited number of vendors selling packaged foods or baked goods. Food trucks and beverage trucks are not being accepted for the Fall and Holiday 2026 markets. Vendors selling food, pet treats, body products, or other regulated goods are responsible for all required licenses, permits, labeling, insurance, and safe-handling practices.

    Professionalism and Conduct

Vendors must treat customers, neighboring businesses, market staff, and fellow vendors with kindness and respect.

Unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory, threatening, or abusive conduct may result in immediate removal from the event and exclusion from future markets.

    Inclusive Environment

The Sarasota Indie Market & Plant Swap is intended to be a welcoming and inclusive space.

Discrimination or harassment based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression will not be tolerated.

    Event Promotion

Accepted vendors agree to share the market at least once through their business’s social media, email list, website, or another appropriate customer channel before each accepted event. Salt Your Soul Gift Co. will provide approved promotional graphics and event details.

To keep the event’s branding consistent, vendors may not create or share AI-generated event flyers, posters, or promotional graphics representing the Sarasota Indie Market & Plant Swap. Promotional images for the event must use the official graphics provided by Salt Your Soul Gift Co. or be approved in advance.

If you need a different size, format, or customized version of an event graphic, please reach out. We’ll be happy to help when possible.

    Responsibility and Liability

Vendors are responsible for their own merchandise, equipment, transactions, employees, helpers, taxes, permits, insurance, and personal property.

Salt Your Soul Gift Co., the property owner, and affiliated event partners are not responsible for loss, theft, damage, injury, weather exposure, or other incidents involving a vendor’s booth, products, equipment, employees, or personal property.
