ProStart Social Media Champion

Purpose
This grant is awarded to Alabama ProStart programs that create an original video promoting their culinary and hospitality program. The goal is to help recruit future students, raise community awareness, and showcase the impact of ProStart across the state. 

 

This is not a competition. Every program that submits a qualifying video, meeting the requirements below, receives the full $2,500 grant.

Eligibility
• Any Confirmed Alabama ProStart program as of SY 25-26 or SY 26-27

• One submission per school/program.

Video Requirements

• Length: 60–90 seconds

• Format: MP4 (H.264), vertical 9:16 aspect ratio, 1080x1920 resolution, 30fps

• Size: 1GB Max (prefered 650 MB)

• Must feature current ProStart students and/or instructors

• Must include the ProStart name/logo somewhere in the video

• Should highlight one or more of:classroom experience, competitions, industry connections, career pathways, or "why I joined ProStart"

• Original content only — no copyrighted music without proper licensing/royalty-free sourcing

• Brief write-up (150 words or less) describing the concept and who was involved

• Program's social media handles (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.), if they have them, so ProStart can tag and share
