Doran Studio Family Acknowledgement & Consent

Studio Policies & Expectations
By enrolling in Kids program at Doran Studio, you agree to the following terms:
- Private Art Studio Notice: Doran Studio is a private art studio and does not operate as a licensed childcare facility.
- Studio Environment & Safety: To maintain a safe, creative and respectful environment for all, Doran Studio reserves the right to refuse service or dismiss any student who fails to follow basic safety and behavior rules.
- Student Participation: Our instructors foster an encouraging and creative space; however, Doran Studio is not responsible if a child decides not to participate in scheduled activities or projects.
- Make-Up Sessions: We do not offer make-up sessions or credits for missed sessions in our afterschool program.
- Non-refundable Fee: A $75 registration/material fee is non-refundable and required per semester.
- Photo & Media Release: We love celebrating our young artists! Doran Studio occasionally captures photos and videos of completed artwork, ongoing projects, and studio activities to share on our website, social media, and promotional materials. (Note: Student faces and full names will not be published).
Statement of Consent & Liability Waiver
I hereby declare that I am the legal parent or guardian of the enrolled child and consent to their participation in Doran Studio activities.
- Assumption of Risk: I understand that engaging in studio activities carries inherent risks of physical injury. I knowingly accept these risks and request that my child be permitted to participate.
- Emergency Medical Authorization: In the event of a medical emergency during studio activities, I authorize Doran Studio supervisors to make necessary decisions and arrange for emergency medical treatment at their discretion.
- Liability Release: Doran Studio, its management, and its staff shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or harm occurring to the child that is not the direct result of gross negligence or intentional fault by studio staff.
Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Because our studio prepares materials and staffing well in advance, the registration/material fee is non-refundable.
- Notice Requirement: Families wishing to withdraw from the afterschool program—including monthly enrolled students—must provide at least 4 weeks' written notice via email to admin@doran.studio.
- Refund Calculation: After the 4-week notice period is served, any remaining pre-paid tuition will be refunded based on the unused sessions. The $75 registration/material fee remains non-refundable.
- Schedule Transfers: Requesting to swap class days during the semester is permitted, subject to space availability.
