Note that, generally speaking, if your child is eligible to start primary school, they are eligible to start Portuguese School. This means that they should at least have reached 5 or 6 years of age by the time Portuguese School starts. However, please note that there may be a mix ages among the pupils registered in each year.

All beginners to Portuguese should start in Year 1. If your child has some Portuguese exposure at home, and you would like to assess whether they should start in a higher year, please email info@portuguesebda.com, and we will arrange a discussion with the teacher.

Note que, de um modo geral, se o seu filho tiver idade para iniciar a escola primária, também terá idade para iniciar a Escola Portuguesa. Isto significa que deverá ter, pelo menos, 5 ou 6 anos de idade à data do início das aulas da Escola Portuguesa. No entanto, tenha em atenção que poderá haver alunos de diferentes idades inscritos em cada ano.

Todos os alunos que estejam a iniciar a aprendizagem do português deverão começar no 1.º ano.
