  • Player – Parent – Coach Contract

  • Congratulations on being selected to join the East Orlando Knights Futbol Club (EOFC) Competitive Program! Your skill and hard work have earned you a spot on one of our club teams. Our coaches, all licensed through US Youth Soccer, strive to make this a great year of growth and development. As part of the registration process, we want to ensure that you are fully aware of and understand the commitments EOFC will make to you, our expectations of you, and your obligations once you accept the roster spot offered. Please read and agree to the following terms:
  • Team Operations & Training

    • Schedule & Training Calendar: Teams practice 2 to 3 times per week depending on the specific team and specialized training needs (e.g., goalkeeper, defender, or striker clinics).
    • OCPS Alignment The regular team practice schedule will follow the Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) academic calendar regarding holiday closures, breaks, and observed days off.
    • Inclement Weather Policy: Due to inclement weather, field closures, or any other unforeseen situations entirely beyond the club's control, cancelled practices will not be rescheduled or made up.
    • Placements: Players are assigned to rosters based on skill level, attitude, and potential team chemistry. Roster adjustments are made at the club's discretion and considered when requested.
  • Mutual Expectations & Codes of Conduct

  • 1. Players
    • Show absolute respect to teammates, coaches, referees, parents, and opponents at all times.
    • Exhibit a high level of commitment and dedication to training sessions, scheduled games, and independent practicing.
    • Arrive on time for all training sessions and at least 30 minutes prior to games (or as otherwise directed by the coach).
    • Give 100% effort during every practice, game, and club-sanctioned event.
    • Take proper care of personal gear, club equipment, and facilities.
    • Wear the required club uniform kit (designated jersey/shirt, shorts, and socks) to all scheduled training sessions, and games. Practice jerseys, included in the club uniform kit, are required at all practices.
    • Focus consistently on individual skill development and improving team performance.
  • 2. Parents / Guardians
    • Maintain a respectful, encouraging attitude toward all players, coaches, referees, other parents, and opponents.
    • Ensure players arrive on time for all training sessions, practices, and games.
    • Zero Sideline Coaching: Refrain from coaching from the sidelines or making negative comments toward opponents, our players, our coaches or officials.
    • Encourage and acknowledge great play and positive effort from both teams.
    • Respect all referee decisions and serve as a positive role model for all players.
    • Understand that, particularly in our younger age brackets, long-term player development takes priority over winning matches.
  • Only rostered and club approved coaches are permitted on the player sideline. All parents are to sit on the parent sideline and not behind the goals. This includes during practices in which the parent area will be identified and posted.
  • Parents will refrain from speaking to the coach about a game for 24 hours. This will serve as a cooling off period for all parties prior to expressing concerns about the game including but not limited to playing time, game tactics, or similar concerns.
  • It is expected that player availability is kept updated in Teamsnap One for all club events (practices, games, tournaments, and all other posted events). This is critical for planning and efficient operations. Further, it is the official club communication tool for all events and information including weather related updates.
  • 3. Coaches

  • Only rostered, club-approved coaches are permitted on the player sideline. Lead by example across all areas of commitment, sportsmanship, and team spirit. Adhere strictly to all rules, guidelines, and compliance standards set forth by FYSA and all leagues / tournaments that we play in during the season. Arrive on time for all training sessions and matches, or secure qualified club coverage in the event of an unavoidable scheduling conflict. Maintain advanced knowledge of the game, individual player dynamics, and tactical strategies to effectively guide player improvement. Maintain Teamsnap One with all current and timely information which is critical for planning. Be accessible and responsive to players and parents regarding performance feedback and growth. Prioritize comprehensive player development. Respond within 48 hours to all parent inquiries.
  • Club Policies & Guidelines

  • General Conduct: All parties must act respectfully during practices, games, and travel. We have read and signed the FYSA Code of Conduct. There is a strict zero-tolerance policy for referee or player abuse. Abusive conduct will result in immediate sideline suspension and may lead to long-term or lifetime bans from club events.
  • Uniforms & Gear Requirements: Players will proudly wear the approved uniform of the club to the standard and in accordance with the club, FYSA, USYSA, USSF, FIFA, and any league in which the team plays.
  • MANDATORY UNIFORM POLICY: Purchasing the current official club uniform kit is strictly expected and required for all rostered players. Additionally, the designated practice uniform must be worn at all times during training and scheduled practice sessions.
  • Playing Time: Because this is a highly competitive soccer environment, there is no guarantee of minimum playing time.
  • Guest Playing: Guest playing with outside teams is strictly prohibited unless express written approval is granted by both the team's head coach and an EOFC Director. Approvals will only be considered if all internal player fees and financial obligations are completely up to date.
  • Communication Protocol (24/48-Hour Rule): Any questions regarding playing time must originate directly from the player, who should approach the coach to ask how they can improve on the field. The coach will respond to the player within 48 hours. For all other parent or player inquiries, coaches will strive to reply within 48 hours. Crucially, coaches are not to be approached regarding game-specific issues or concerns for 24 hours following a match. This window ensures players, parents, and coaches have adequate time to cool down and reflect before engaging in productive discussion.
  • 12-Month Commitment & Absences: Accepting a roster spot represents a firm 12-month commitment, and the EOFC team must be treated as the player's primary extracurricular priority. Cross-training in school-sponsored sports is permitted. Excused absences include illness, family emergencies, injuries, mandatory school graded events, and missing a maximum of one practice per week to play in another sports formal game (not a practice). Even with an excused absence, starting positions and playing time in the subsequent match are at the sole discretion of the coach. Unexcused absences grant the coach full liberty to adjust or restrict playing time for the upcoming game.
  • Financial Obligations & Registration Policy

  • Binding Agreement: We understand that accepting the position offered and completing the registration documents obligates me to pay the full annual registration fee.
  • Non-refundable player deposit fee: This deposit fee must be paid as soon as possible to formally lock in and secure your roster spot. If this fee is not received, the roster spot will not be held and may be forfeited to another player. Once paid, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
  • Monthly club fees: These monthly club fees are broken into a monthly payment plan as a convenience. The monthly club fees (payments) are non-fundable. Any unpaid fees are subject to the collection agency process.
  • Payment Plan Administration: The availability of an installment payment plan is offered strictly as a billing convenience for families. Monthly payment amounts are derived from the total annual fee and are not prorated, adjusted, or calculated based on the frequency or number of practices conducted in a specific calendar month.
  • Season Commitment: Players are expected to compete in both regular competitive seasons: Fall and Spring.
  • Additional Team Expenses: We understand that families share additional team expenses (such as tournament entry fees) that are separate from the club registration and uniform fees. All tournament fees paid to the team remain with the team should a player decide to leave. Payments for team tournaments, including the Coach per diem, will be handled through Venmo or a similar application to provide an automatic digital receipt. Coaches per diem for tournaments are established by the club annually and are part of the tournament fees paid by the team.
  • Roster Release Policy: Should a player wish to be released to another club prior to the end of the 2026-2027 soccer season, the request must be submitted in writing. Crucially, all financial obligations and registration fees must be paid in full before the club will review or process a release decision. If a player decides to stop playing entirely before the contract ends, a 30-day written notice is required. Following this notice, future payment-plan installments will be stopped after the December payment (for the Fall season) or after the February payment (for the Spring season).
  • Delinquency Consequences: Failure to fulfill financial obligations will place the player "Not in Good Standing" with both the club and FYSA, resulting in an immediate suspension of playing privileges. Accounts over 30 days past due will trigger an automatic suspension. This status will also block the player from registering with East Orlando Knights FC or any other affiliate club in the following seasonal year. Players are additionally responsible for paying any individual fines incurred for red cards, no-shows, or forfeits according to league, tournament, or FYSA rules.
