    AUGUST 15, 2026
    LOCATION: Historic Alberta House, 5131 NE 23rd Ave

    Participants will explore themes of personal cultural identity and their relationship to community and place through movement, writing, group/partner interactions and informal sharing. These include:

    These are examples of inquiry questions we will explore in the workshop;
    1. What is one memory/story/ moment that captures or defines you today?
    2. If you were to unpack your cultural history “trunk” what would be included?
    3. What impact has generational connections had on your sense of self?
    4. What and how have you intersected with others from communities of color in America?
    5. Have you documented, archived or researched your ancestry and family histories?
