Abaana treats with the utmost seriousness its responsibility to safeguard and protect children and young people by preventing unsuitable people from working with them in paid or voluntary positions. Successful applicants will be required to apply for Enhanced Disclosure Certificates, with a check of the Children's Barred List from AccessNI confirming the eligibility of the applicant to work with children and young people. A copy of Abaana’s policy on the employment of ex-offenders is available on request.

Photography

Abaana rely heavily on photographs taken by team members to use for promotion purposes and for items such as Christmas cards, newsletters and website updates to name but a few. We request that team members donate a copy of their photographs to Abaana when they return.
I will donate any photographs I take while on Team in Uganda to Abaana.

Passport Information

In order for Abaana to book flights, we will require passport details. Please forward a scanned copy of your passport to louise@abaana.org or when it has been renewed. Please note that all travellers will require a passport that has more validity than 6 months after the final day of travel.
