    Synod of the Mid-Atlantic Registration Form

  • The 258th Synod Assembly will be held in person at Drury Plaza Hotel (11049 West Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA) and will be convening from Monday, September 14 at 9am to Tuesday, September 15, 2026, adjourning by 1:00pm. You are also welcome to arrive Sunday, September 13, 2026, in order to rest and relax before the event begins.

    This form allows you to register for the Assembly and for overnight accommodations. Please use this form to register no later than Tuesday, August 25, 2026 if you will attend so that provisions and preparations can be in place to warmly welcome you. Registration closes on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (4pm EST). If you are a commissioner or committee chair, it is critical that you fill out this registration even if you are unable to attend so that we can get an accurate count of those expected.

    The Synod has reserved a block of rooms between September 13 and September 15 at a discounted group rate. If you choose to register through the Synod you may take advantage of these rates: the Synod Reimbursement Policy will apply. Alternatively, you may contact Drury Plaza directly to arrange your own overnight accommodations.

    Once your registration has been received, you can look forward to an email on Monday, August 31, 2026, with guidance on how to access the Assembly document webpage (for the docket, reports, minutes, etc).

    It is the policy of the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic to cover certain travel expenses for Synod Commissioners and Permanent Committee Chairs, as well as members of the Synod Committee on Nominations and the Synod Committee on Representation due to in person training. The Synod has secured rooms at the Drury Plaza Hotel for $126 per night; this rate will be used to calculate room costs and is available to those registering for overnight lodging using this form.

    The Synod will cover:

    • Travel mileage
    • Travel meals (excluding alcohol) up to $47 per day
      • Breakfast-$10, Lunch-$12, Dinner-$25
    • 1/2 of room costs for single occupancy  -$63
    • Full room costs for double occupancy    -$126

    The Synod does not cover:

    • Permanent Committee Members (aside from those mentioned above)
    • Observers
    • Presbytery staff and agents
    • General Assembly staff and agents

    If you choose to take advantage of the discounted group rate and are not one of the two covered categories, please prepare for an email after the your registration to submit pre-payment of lodging to the Synod.
