Tree Planting 101 October 1 & 2 9AM - 12 PM
Location: Honadle (Private) Property - 11870 East Hill Road, Pine City, NY 14871 Learn the proper techniques for planting and caring for trees to help ensure they thrive for years to come. This hands-on program will cover tree selection, correct planting methods, watering, mulching, and long-term care for successful establishment. Day 2 - Help plant and tube trees. You will learn about two valuable programs offered by the Steuben County Soil & Water Conservation District—Trees for Tribs and Planting with Purpose—which provide eligible landowners with free native trees and shrubs to support water quality, wildlife habitat, and conservation efforts. Whether you're looking to enhance your property, improve wildlife habitat, or protect local waterways, this event will provide the knowledge and resources to help you get started. **Additional information will be shared with registrants prior to the event.
