Battle of the Beards Competition Rules• Contestants must check in before the competition begins and wear their contestant lanyard while participating.• Each contestant may compete only in the category selected during registration unless event organizers approve a change.• Natural beard and mustache entries must be grown by the contestant.• Whiskerina and Kids entries may use handmade, crafted, or artificial facial hair.• Beard length is measured from the bottom of the lower lip to the longest point of the beard. Contestants should choose Under 6 Inches, 6–10 Inches, or Over 10 Inches based on that measurement.• Styling products, accessories, and decorations are permitted in categories where they are appropriate.• Best in Show is selected by the judges from eligible contestants and is not a separate registration category.• Contestants must follow event staff instructions and behave respectfully toward judges, volunteers, attendees, and other contestants.• Unsafe, disruptive, offensive, or inappropriate conduct may result in disqualification or removal from the event.• Judges’ decisions are final.• Event organizers may combine, modify, or cancel a category if participation is limited.• The $25 registration fee benefits Realities For Children and is nonrefundable unless the event is canceled.
