BLEACH FESTIVAL is the Gold Coast's annual contemporary arts festival.
The 2026 program of dance, theatre, art installations and family activites takes over HOTA, Home of the Arts for 11 amazing days. The festival attracts thousands of people with it's electric and exciting program of local, national and international artists!
We are seeking Volunteers to help bring a special festival project to life.
As the sun sets on the 2026 Festival, Everybody Now! invite you to be part of the closing spectacle, called HIGH TIDE.
HIGH TIDE is a family friendly psychedelic lakeside party featuring live music, 100 illuminated Jellyfish puppets from the award-winning Dead Puppet Society, and a thrilling stunt performance from Jetpack Entertainment & Events.

We are looking for 100 volunteers aged 13 years and over to be a part of HIGH TIDE which will be performed at HOTA, Home of the Arts (Surfers Paradise) around the HOTA lake.
You’ll get to operate one of 100 Jellyfish puppets in a mass glowing procession before a spectacular jetski stunt show on HOTA's Evendale Lake.
What’s involved?

- On the day, arrive early for a briefing (see schedule below)
- Wear all black
- Walk in the outdoor procession carrying a glowing Jellyfish puppet – the puppet is on a tall 3m pole, and can be rested between walking but you must be able to carry a weight of approx. 4kgs
Key Details
You arrive on the day, meet the Directors of show and your team leader. After a walk through of the procession with your puppet, we then bring the show to life for thousands of people including your friends and family.

Date : Sunday 11 October.
Time Required : 2:45pm - 6:30pm
3.00pm. Meet show director & lead puppeteers for a breifing & rehearsal.
5.00pm. Everyone in positions for High Tide!
5:30pm. Hide Tide starts starring you our Jellyfish!
You’ll work with the acclaimed Brisbane arts company, Dead Puppet Society, Everybody NOW! Director Ian Pidd, Muscial Director Scott French (Selve) and a rocking live band.
Free to join. All abilities welcome! No experinece required.
