Thanks to all who undertook the survey. I value your time and opinions.

You have been emailed about the draw. If you recognise this email address to be yours, please check your spam or junk mail as I have made contact with you.

I am a mum of a school-aged child, doing tertiary studies in Counselling. As a result of my studies, I have had an idea which needs some input from other mothers or female carers of children, in order to bring it to life.

If you identify as female and have a child or children in your care, I'd appreciate your input into this survey to help shape a solution for connecting with your kids.

  • 1. How old are your children? Select all that apply.*
  • 4. If you had 15 minutes set aside specifically for time with your child - with no phones or screens or no other activity (eg reading together) - when would that most realistically happen? (Single choice only)*
  • 5. Have you ever tried any product, app, or resource meant to improve or support your relationship with your child? (Single choice only)*
  • 5b. If you described your use of a product in the question above, did you try to use it regularly? (Single choice only)
  • 6. If something was designed to start a conversation with your child, what approach do you think would work best for them? (Single choice only)*
  • 6a. If you have multiple children in different age brackets (as described in Q1), would you prefer something tailored differently to each child's age, or one approach that works across both? (Single choice only)*
  • 9. Where do you typically discover new parenting products or tools?*
  • 10. If your child was using and enjoying a consumable resource — something that got used over time (eg. an official Paw Patrol colouring-in book) — how likely would you be to buy an official replacement versus finding a cheaper, generic alternative (eg. chatGPT made colouring in sheet)?*
  • 10a. What would make the official replacement worth buying over a generic one? (Select all that apply.)*
  • 10c. If you have two children of different ages, and each used their own version of a consumable resource (eg. colouring-in books they LOVED), which replacement approach do you prefer? (Single choice only)*
  • NOTE: The next question is entirely optional.

  • If you entered your email address above, would you like to learn more about or be involved in a small trial (at no cost to you) of something being developed to help adults connect with their children (reviewed by an early years education teacher with 15+ years of experience)?
