    Application

  •

The State Historical Society of Missouri (SHSMO) is offering grant funding of up to $500 to schools participating in the Missouri History Day program. The grant aims to assist teachers in integrating National History Day into their curricula and to increase the accessibility of the History Day program for students statewide. A maximum of $8,000 will be awarded each year.

    Grant Guidelines

Applications must be submitted by a Missouri History Day school or teacher with the goal of supporting the production of Missouri History Day projects in the classroom.

Purchases must be directly related to creating Missouri History Day projects. For example, eligible uses include, but are not limited to, purchasing project supplies, such as trifold exhibit boards or art materials to design performance props.

Funds may also support classroom research trips to archives, museums, and libraries to conduct research for Missouri History Day projects.

Only one grant will be awarded to a Missouri History Day school per grant cycle.

    Eligibility

Grants are available to teachers at public, private, and charter schools, as well as homeschooling cooperative groups.

Priority will be given to new schools or teachers seeking to establish History Day programs within their school.

Applicants must be participating in the Missouri History Day program during the grant period.

Schools who receive a grant are eligible to apply again after one year.
