  • In A Pickle – Pickleball Fun!

    Grab a paddle and join us for an afternoon of pickleball, laughter, and fellowship! Whether you've played for years or have never picked up a paddle, this event is for you. We'll enjoy friendly games, learn together, and spend time building friendships rooted in Christ.

    Grades 6–12 are invited. Bring a friend and join us at Four Seasons Park in Hobart for this FREE afternoon of fun, faith, and community. No experience necessary—we'll make sure everyone gets in on the action!

    Meet at church by 11:45 to car pool
    - otherwise meet us at Four Seasons Park in Hobart.

  • Parent/Guardian Permission

    I give permission for my child listed above to participate in the youth event described on this form, sponsored jointly by St. John Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church.

    I understand that every reasonable effort will be made to provide a safe environment through appropriate supervision. I recognize, however, that participation in youth activities involves normal risks associated with travel and recreational activities.

    I voluntarily assume these ordinary risks and give permission for my child to participate.

    Transportation Authorization

    I authorize my child to be transported to and from this event by approved adult volunteers, church staff members, or church employees who have been authorized by St. John Lutheran Church and/or Zion Lutheran Church.

    Transportation may occur in:

    • Personal vehicles operated by approved adult drivers
    • Commercial transportation, if applicable
    • I understand that all approved drivers (21+) are expected to possess a valid driver's license and maintain automobile insurance as required by law.
    • Youth will NOT be able to transport other youth to /from events without prior approval from parents communicate clearly to youth leaders.

    Medical Authorization

    Should my child become ill or injured and I cannot be reached, I authorize the supervising adults to obtain emergency medical treatment deemed necessary.

    I understand every reasonable effort will be made to contact me before treatment whenever possible.

    Release of Liability

    I understand that youth ministry activities involve normal risks associated with travel, recreation, service projects, and other group activities.

    I release and hold harmless St. John Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church, their pastors, employees, volunteers, youth leaders, and drivers from liability for injuries or damages arising from ordinary risks associated with participation, except in cases involving gross negligence or willful misconduct.

    I understand that participants are expected to:

    • Show Christian love and respect toward others.
    • Follow the directions of youth leaders and adult volunteers.
    • Respect church property and the property of others.
    • Demonstrate appropriate behavior reflecting Christian discipleship.
    • Follow all safety rules.

    I understand that inappropriate behavior may result in my child being sent home at my expense.
