• Outreach Beyond Edmonton - Science In Motion (SIM) Booking Request

    The SIM outreach team will ignite curiosity, inspire discovery, and change lives by bringing exciting, affordable, and convenient programs to your school community.

  • Thanks for your interest in bringing our Outreach team to your school! This form is for schools 100 km or more from Edmonton that would like to request an in-school visit. If your school is closer, we encourage you to check out our on-site field trip options, outreach within Edmonton, or virtual programs.

    How It Works

    After submitting your request, your school will be added to our interest list.
    We plan Outreach travel by region—you’ll be matched with other schools nearby so we can reduce travel time and make the most of each trip.
    Depending on when you send your request, it may be a while before you hear from us.

    • If you’re requesting a visit for the current school year, we’ll get back to you sooner as availability will be quite limited.
    • If you’re requesting for the next school year, we’ll follow up in the spring as we begin planning for the next school year.

    Once your visit is scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation and invoice by email. Payment is required within 5 business days to secure your date(s).

    Who Can Book

    • Your school must be 100+ km away from Edmonton.
      Each booking includes 1 Outreach instructor who will run 4 programs in one day.
    • Schools that can host 2 instructors and/or book for multiple days are given priority in scheduling.

    Before You Start

    This form will take about 10–15 minutes to complete. You’ll need:

    • How many instructors and days you're requesting
    • The grades or classes participating
    • The number of students in each group
    • Your preferred timing for the visit

    If you're requesting a visit for the next school year, don’t worry—once your booking is confirmed, you’ll be able to adjust programs and grades in the fall if needed.
