We are excited to announce that Breakthrough Dance Competition is back for 2027! // After taking a one-year hiatus, we dedicated our time and energy to supporting the production of BustAGroove and Body Rock Juniors in honor of our late friend, Anna Sarao, who was not only a beloved member of the dance community but also one of Breakthrough's most cherished judges. Her passion, kindness, and love for dance continue to inspire everything we do. // Founded on the belief that every dancer deserves an opportunity to shine, Breakthrough Dance Competition was created to celebrate talent, foster community, and provide an unforgettable experience for dancers of all levels. We are grateful for the support we've received over the years and are thrilled to welcome everyone back. Registration is now open, and we invite all teams, studios, and dance companies to join us as we begin this exciting new chapter together. Place: $1500 + Trophy // Second Place: $500 + Trophy // Third Place: Trophy // All performers qualify for a free full day of dance workshops the day following the event.  

Please be aware that not all teams registering as exhibition or competition acts will be selected. Placements are made on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will be notified immediately if your team is waitlisted. All teams will be informed of their placement by January 1st 2027.

The registration fee to compete are due as scheduled (A) 12/31/2026 - Early Bird Registration Deadline ($25/entry) (B) 01/31/2027 - Online Registration ($30/entry) Closes. ** Refunds will not be issued on and after 12/31/2026. **

If your team is selected to perform a showcase at our show, the registration fee is $100 per company. However, if there are significant changes to your roster within three weeks of the event or if your team misses check-in or tech rehearsal, your team may be disqualified and removed from the show’s lineup, subject to evaluation by our production staff. // Refunds will not be issued on and after 12/31/2026.

All competing teams registered before 12/31/2026 will have the option to receive a $15 merchandise credit. A separate link will be sent to directors for their teams who qualify to be spent on our official website with items to be picked up at the event. Items may be shipped at an additional cost.

Every member of the team must be present upon check in and have a valid form of identification present. Any delay in checking in will forfeit your team’s time slot during tech time. Any additions to the roster upon check-in table without prior notice will constitute as a $35 fee per person to be collected at registration.

Upon submission of this online registration form, you should receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please make note that you may have provided an invalid email address. We will make an attempt to call you to confirm. If we do not hear from you within 72 hours, your registration will be voided until we receive further interest from your team or company.

In consideration of Breakthrough Dance Foundation granting permission for my company and me to participate in the Breakthrough Dance Competition (the “Competition”), I (along with my associated directors and team captains) hereby represent, covenant, and agree, on behalf of myself, my dance team/company, and any other individuals claiming by, under, or through me, as follows:

I acknowledge that participation in the Competition involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, death, property damage, or other harm to myself or others. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the Competition, whether arising from negligence or otherwise, and whether caused by Breakthrough Dance Foundation, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, contractors, affiliates, sponsors, venue partners, or insurers (collectively referred to as the “Released Parties”).

I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, or liabilities of any kind, whether known or unknown, against the Released Parties arising out of or related to my participation in the Competition, including claims resulting from the negligence of the Released Parties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, costs, expenses, and attorney's fees arising out of or related to my participation in the Competition, including claims brought by me, my team members, guests, family members, or any person acting on my behalf.

I understand and agree that any violation of Competition rules, policies, procedures, or standards of conduct may result in penalties, including disqualification of an individual participant or an entire team, at the sole discretion of Breakthrough Dance Foundation. I further agree to communicate all applicable rules and requirements to my team members and ensure their compliance.

I acknowledge that Breakthrough Dance Foundation reserves the right to deny entry to, remove, or disqualify any individual, team, coach, spectator, vendor, or participant whose behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, inappropriate, or otherwise detrimental to the Competition environment.

Breakthrough Dance Foundation reserves the right to amend, update, interpret, or remove Competition rules, regulations, policies, schedules, and procedures as necessary for the safety, operation, and success of the event. Participants will be notified of material changes as reasonably practicable.

I certify that I have carefully read and fully understand this Release and Hold Harmless Agreement. I understand its contents, acknowledge that I am giving up certain legal rights, and sign this Agreement voluntarily and without coercion.

Breakthrough Dance Foundation would like to express our gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with you and your company at the Breakthrough Dance Competition. We truly appreciate your time and hope that your experience as one of our vendors is both enjoyable and successful.

In exchange for allowing you to promote your company at our event, we kindly request the following: (1) a non-refundable vendor fee of $100 for tabling space and permission to sell products at the venue, payable to be coordinated with the producers either via PayPal, Venmo, or Check; (2) at least two products to be distributed as event giveaways; and (3) five items to be provided as complimentary gifts for our judges. These terms are in accordance with the vendor participation requirements established for this year's event.

Breakthrough Dance Foundation will provide you with the following: (1) one 6-foot vendor table, (2) inclusion of your company logo in promotional and event advertising materials, (3) complimentary admission for you and up to 1 team member to attend the competition, and (4) up to five minutes of stage time, if desired, to showcase your products or services.

Please note that any promotional materials, displays, or representations involving drugs, alcohol, violence, hate speech, or derogatory content related to race, ethnicity, sex, gender, nationality, religion, or other protected characteristics are strictly prohibited. All venue and event rules apply to vendors and their representatives. Any violation of these rules may result in the immediate revocation of vendor privileges and removal from the event without refund.

By participating in the Breakthrough Dance Competition, I grant Breakthrough Dance Foundation permission to photograph, record, and film me during the event and to use my image, likeness, voice, and performance in promotional, marketing, fundraising, educational, and social media materials without compensation. I understand that these materials may be used in print, digital, and online formats, and I waive any right to inspect or approve their use. If I am a parent or legal guardian of a participant under the age of 18, I consent to the photography and videography of the minor and authorize Breakthrough Dance Foundation to use the minor's image, likeness, voice, and performance as described herein. If signing on behalf of a team, studio, or company, I confirm that all participants and/or their parents or legal guardians have been informed of and agree to this photography and videography release. By participating in the event, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the terms of this release.

Once again, thank you for allowing us to feature your company and products at our event. We welcome any feedback, ideas, comments, or concerns as we strive to provide a positive and well-promoted experience for all of our performers and vendors. To reserve your performance and vendor space, this agreement must be signed and dated by an authorized representative of your company who will be present at the event.
