  • Go beyond the exhibition with an evening featuring renowned photographer and MGSDII Visiting Professor Daniel Tchetchik as he shares the stories, inspiration, and creative process behind Facing the Sea.

    Hear from Eden Shmuel, a Nova Festival survivor and participant in HaGal Sheli’s trauma therapy program, who is featured in the exhibition and will share her personal testimony of survival.

  • Daniel Tchetchik is an artist, photographer, and founder and chief editor of the Haaretz photography blog. His work has been in special exhibitions, is on permanent display in museums and collections worldwide, and has appeared in The New Yorker, The Financial Times, and other prominent platforms. His recent project about October 7th was shown at the ZAZ10TS Gallery and on its Times Square billboard. He is a Murray Galinson San Diego-Israel Initiative (MGSDII) Visiting Professor in San Diego State University's School of Art and Design during Fall 2026.
