  • Project Budget

  • Course, ISP, Tutorial, Pre-Thesis, and Thesis Project Expenses

SRTG funding may be used to support eligible expenses associated with independent student research and creative projects, including travel, lodging, meals, equipment, supplies, copying, mileage, and other project-related costs.

Please provide well-researched estimates for each anticipated expense. Budget figures should be based on actual research and expected costs rather than rough or "ballpark" estimates.

The maximum SRTG award is $600.00 per project.

  • Total:  0/  2000
  •  If you do not require Travel, do NOT put zeros. Leave the boxes blank.  The same goes for Materials, Supplies and Equipment section.  If not requesting funds, leave the boxes blank.

  • Total:  0/
  • Budget Narrative/Justification

All grant requests must include a Budget Narrative/Justification that explains and supports each expense included in the funding request.

Please provide well-researched estimates for each anticipated expense. Budget figures should be based on actual research and expected costs rather than rough or "ballpark" estimates. Whenever possible, estimates should be based on quotes, published rates, or other documented sources to ensure your budget accurately reflects expected costs.

In the Budget Narrative, explain why each expense is necessary to successfully complete your project and how the requested funds will be used.

  • Total Project Costs vs. SRTG Funding Request

Your total project costs may be greater than the amount you are requesting from the SRTG Program. In many cases, applicants request SRTG funding to support only a portion of their overall project expenses.

The maximum SRTG award is $600.00 per project. Requests exceeding this amount are strongly discouraged and are generally not considered.

Students are expected to seek additional sources of funding to support their work. Combining SRTG funding with support from other sources can help offset project expenses and maximize available resources.
