Requirements: Basic skating skills, helmet, gloves and warm clothes.
Open House Fee: $1.00 cash only
US Speedskating 1 day 1 dollar membership: $1.00 cash only (Form will be provided upon arrival)

Skate fitting and coach questions 5:45 PM - 6:30 PM
Ice time - 6:45 PM - 8:00 PM

Welcome to United Capital Blades Speedskating Club Open House 2026 at Wheaton Ice Arena! We are requesting all interested skaters who wish to give speedskating a try to register for this limited attendance event. In order to participate, skaters must bring a helmet (bike is fine), gloves and suitable ice wear, NO SHORTS please.
Please arrive at 5:45 PM to get fitted for speedskates and chat with US Speedskating certified coaches Nathaniel Casson and Samir Ouchikh. Late arrivals will not be guaranteed participation despite registration as we must remain on schedule throughout the evening. Ice time will run from 6:45 PM - 8:00 PM.
Upon arrival, parents/guardians of skaters and skaters 18 years of age or older will be asked to complete a provided US Speedskating 1 day 1 dollar form that our staff will submit to US Speedskating for liability purposes. The cost is $1.00. Please bring cash. See you at Wheaton!
