• Internship and Job Shadowing Request

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

    Thank you for your interest in an internship at the Boston Ability Center! Below is information about internships that will be available during the Fall of 2026. Please be sure to read through carefully and complete all questions in this form to apply for an internship. Questions can be directed to mackenzie.rickert@bostonabilitycenter.com. Thank you!

    • Location: Natick (not accessible via public transportation)
    • Focus: Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology, with focuses on feeding and sensory motor/social opportunities
    • Amount of time: 5-10 hours per week for 10 weeks for a total of 50-100 hours
    • Dates: 10 weeks; week of 9/14 through week of 11/16
    • Days/Times:
      • 5 hours on Tuesdays from 1:30-6:30pm (required)
      • Opportunity for an additional 5 hours on Monday morning or mid-afternoon (focus on feeding) OR an additional 5 hours on Fridays (focus on sensory motor/social opportunities)
      • Potential to do all 10 hours on Tuesdays if preferable

    PLEASE NOTE: We are currently accepting inquiries for Fall of 2026. If you wish to be on our contact list for later dates, please do NOT fill out this form.     INTERNSHIPS:

    • ALL INTERNSHIPS FOR FALL OF 2026 WILL BE AT OUR NATICK OFFICE.
    • Internships at the Boston Ability Center are unpaid at this time.
    • In order to be eligible for an internship, students must be able to affiliate the internship with a school (i.e. completing an internship for academic credit, completing it as part of a course project, and/or completing it as part of a school-approved independent study). As a for-profit company, BAC is unable to provide internships that are not affiliated with a school program. 
    • During their time at the BAC, interns may complete tasks such as, but not limited to:
      • Joining for/assisting during treatment sessions or groups
      • Observing
      • Cleaning and organizing
      • Setting up/transitioning treatment spaces between patients
      • Activity and material prep
      • Administrative tasks
    • A member of our team will review your request and be in touch if we have availability that meets your needs. If so, next steps would involve scheduling a time for an interview and contacting your references to ensure that an intership at the BAC is the right fit.
