  • Panel Discussion: Don't Ask AI, Ask A Playwright
    Tuesday 11th August
    11am - 12.30pm
Library of Mistakes, Edinburgh, EH3 7QB
    FREE

In the age of Big Tech, deepfakes, algorithmic discrimination, hyper-scale data centres and the climate emergency, what are the threats and opportunities posed to the performing arts? Join writers, researchers and theatre-makers for a lively panel discussion exploring the ethical considerations of creatively collaborating with Artificial Intelligence.

Bringing together Lubna Kerr, writer of A Better Memory, a Fringe show about women in romantic relationships with chatbots and AI replicas, Leonie Rae Gasson of Produced Moon, who experiment with emerging technologies and new ideas around live performance, plus Dr Caterina Moruzzi of Edinburgh College of Art, whose research interests include Human-AI Co-Creativity and Responsible AI. This timely conversation, hosted by our outgoing Associate Playwright, Davey Anderson, invites audiences to think critically about creativity, connection and who gets to shape our cultural future.
