The Long Hill Fire District requires this form to be completed in order for a record request(s) to be processed and is allowed to by the CT Freedom of Information Commission. A Freedom of information requests (FOi) is limited to existing documents, records, meeting minutes etc... An agency is NOT required to create documents, give explanations, or release medical or personal information. A complete list of information is available by reviewing CT General Statute 1-210.

Agencies are required to release the information promptly, however promptness is a standard determined by a consideration of a number off actors such as how busy the agency is at the time of request, urgency of the need for the information and how time consuming the request will take to complete.

The fee per page for printed documents is fifty cents; additional charges may apply for certified copies, transcriptions, printouts or records on electronic media. Pre-payment is required if the cost of all copies exceeds $20.00.
