Guidelines & Rules:
Audition Guidelines - Last Date to Submit : August 25
- Duration:
- Submit a video - one per participant
- Minimum 1 minute up to 2 minutes
- Performance:
- Performances must be in Tamil
- Impersonation is permitted
- Submissions:
- Video stability & clarity is prominent
- All videos must be recorded horizontally (Landscape Mode)
- Background – neutral background is suggested
- Lighting - Ensure participant & performance is clear (do not backlight)
- Audio Clarity - Record in a quiet room with minimal echo.
- Ensure your voice is loud, crisp, and free from background noise
- Kalalaya theater family members are ineligible to participate
Audition Results will be announced by: September 6th 2026
Final Performance Guidelines (September 27)
- Duration:
- Kurinji: Minimum 1 minute –up to 2 minutes performance
- Mullai & Marutham: 2 minutes –up to 3 minutes performance
- Performance:
- Performances must be in Tamil
- Impersonation is permitted
- Fully Memorized: All monologues must be completely memorized (“off-book”).
- Scripts: Holding a script, paper, or digital device during the performance is strictly prohibited.
- Props are allowed but not factored into judging
- Kalalaya theater family members are ineligible to participate
