We want your words!
Belle Vale and the surrounding area has its own way of talking, and we want to capture it. Whether it's something your nan always says, a phrase your mates use, a word only people round here understand, or your own family's private joke, we want to hear it. These sayings and phrases will become part of a series of large murals across the ward, plus a free printed dictionary, stickers and badges, all made by and for the people who live here. So dig out your favourite local expressions, old or new, and share them below. There's no wrong answer, we just want to hear how you talk
This is part of "Word For Home", a project bringing large-scale murals to the area, built entirely from the words and phrases you share. It's being delivered by dot-art, working with artists Joe Venning and Jodie Cavanagh (a Belle Vale local herself), as part of Culture Liverpool's Creative Neighbourhoods programme.
