The Safe Sitter class is being held at Salina Regional Health Center. We want everyone to have fun while also respecting that we are in a hospital where people are healing.
All attendees are expected to follow these guidelines:
- Use Indoor Voices
- Speak quietly and avoid yelling or screaming.
- Listen when others are talking.
- Keep Hands and Feet to Yourself
- No roughhousing, wrestling, pushing, or play fighting.
- Respect everyone's personal space.
- Show Maturity
- Make thoughtful choices.
- Follow directions the first time they are given.
- Be a positive role model for others.
- Be Respectful
- Use kind words and encouraging language.
- Treat classmates, staff, and hospital visitors with respect.
- Stay Safe
- Walk at all times—no running.
- Use materials and equipment appropriately.
- Stay with the group, unless given permission to leave.
- Be Responsible
- Participate in activities.
- Clean up after yourself.
- Take care of supplies and the classroom space.
- Be Considerate
- Remember that patients and families nearby may be resting or receiving care.
- Help create a calm, welcoming environment.
Our Goal: Have fun, learn something new, and help make the hospital a safe, peaceful place for everyone.
